ALERT: More legal trouble for Attorney General Todd Blanche.
Attorneys for MeidasTouch contributor Katie Phang have asked U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan to hold Blanche in contempt by imposing a $1,000-per-day fine until the Trump Justice Department complies with the court’s order to release additional Epstein files.
Blanche ignored the court’s July 2 deadline to produce the records and has still failed to comply with Judge Sullivan’s order. Katie’s legal team is also asking the court to deny the Justice Department’s request for a delay and to conduct an in camera review to determine whether the administration is withholding records it was ordered to release.
The legal pressure on Trump’s Justice Department continues to mount as the fight over transparency in the Epstein files heads back before the court.
