In an effort to shift the blame for his own incompetence on others, Trump has been posting falsehoods about why the reflecting pool at the capitol is filled with algae and the liner is peeling.
Trump declared that vandals had sliced a ‘250 section’ of the pool as well as dumped ‘harsh chemicals’ in it to promote algae. Of course, none of this is true.
He likely is simply repeating what he heard on a parody website.
But that did not stop some ‘news’ outlets, reporters (so-called) and many MAGA gullibles from repeating it.
The claim appeared in a post and image by Veteran Up on Facebook on June 17, 2026. The fake story originated in a June 16, 2026, post on the America’s Last Line Of Defense (ALLOD) Facebook page.
In another attempt to mislead readers, this X user Unmask The SYS (@UnmaskTheSys) claimed that an Obama charity was raided, chemicals were found, and documents were seized which revealed further plots to attack other national monuments. Of course none of this is true.
There was no such raid on any Obama charity. The irony? The photo is actually one of those taken of the stolen classified documents that felon Trump tried to hide at Mar-a-Lago and the writing on the right is a high school term paper on algae, conveniently used to cover up part of the photo that would have given a clue as to its origin.
In yet another fake post, this meme which misspells ‘Barack’ and ‘Guiffre’ does not represent the truth. Virginia Giuffre never mentioned Barack Obama in any of her testimonies, depositions, interviews, or her memoir, ‘Nobody’s Girl’. While several unsealed court documents and flight logs related to Jeffrey Epstein have been released, Obama’s name does not appear in any records associated with the case.
To what lengths will these liars stoop to protect their criminal potus?
