At least three Florida men charged in connection to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot are facing new, unrelated criminal charges, including child sex abuse and battery.
Andrew Johnson
Andrew Johnson was arrested again in July 2025 in Hernando County on multiple child sexual abuse charges. A probable cause affidavit accuses Johnson of molesting his girlfriend’s 11-year-old son three times in 2024, including twice at the Tarpon Springs home where they lived.
Daniel Ball
Just days after Ball’s case was dismissed by President Trump, he was re-arrested on felony firearm charges, given his previous felony record of domestic violence and strangulation.
Jarod Hawks
Hawks has since been arrested multiple times on charges including battery, burglary and resisting an officer, according to Volusia County jail records. Most recently, Hawks was charged with battery and contempt of court in November 2025.
