The real story on Springfield, Ohio is told by the Springfield Mayor who says the Haitians in their community are NOT eating your pets.
The Haitians are American citizens who are here legally and came to Springfield to work in factories that could not find enough employees for 2,000 new jobs. The factory owner says they are good workers but instead of being happy that the economy is getting a boost in small town that needed it, nastiness ensued.
No troops are being sent there, but Gov. DeWine sent funds to help with healthcare and other services that always need expansion when the population increases that suddenly. They naturally need more health and language services.
“About 8,000 new jobs were created by 2020, and they have only increased since then. But there were not enough workers to fill them. Then Haitian immigrants elsewhere in the US, who were in the country legally, heard Springfield needed workers.”
They are now facing threats all because of a stupid rumor that was started by JD Vance, repeated by Trump and then propagated by his gullible followers.
