As to the link between Trump and Siad, Chenoweth and Day managed to stumble across archived online posts from a now-deleted X account with the username “Thilely,” one they described as a “Donald Trump fan account.”
Chenoweth and Day uncovered multiple posts from the account praising Trump that had been archived on the Wayback Machine – an online digital archive that has been used in court proceedings as evidence – including posts calling Trump “the best President ever” and “our saviour.”
