Trump attempted to send Michael Cohen, his former lawyer, back to prison for writing a tell-all book about his time with Trump.
ACLU says Trump sent Michael Cohen back to prison ‘for writing a book’
Indeed, there have been scores of books written by those who knew Trump, or worked in his last administration, or reporters who covered the White House during his first administration. Will he investigate all of them?
Now we have just learned that Donald Trump signed a presidential memorandum ordering the DOJ to investigate former DHS official Miles Taylor for writing a critical book about Trump. “A Warning” was the first book which Taylor authored anonymously, and “Blowback: A Warning to Save Democracy from the Next Trump” was a second, both featured here on this website.
Trump stated: “I think it’s like a traitor. It’s like spying… he wrote a book, Anonymous, and I always thought it was terrible. And now we have a chance to find out whether or not it was terrible.”
This is what actual weaponization of the justice system looks like.
