A female protester wearing a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt was punched, tackled, and had her hair pulled by attendees during a political rally held by President Donald Trump at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio.
During the event, multiple audience members confronted the woman. One man in a baseball cap pushed her down, and another balding man in a dark T-shirt punched her in the face, pulled her hair, and put her in a headlock.
Law enforcement officers intervened and removed the protester from the venue. Videos from the scene showed the man who punched her remaining inside the arena and exchanging high-fives with nearby attendees.
President Trump mocked the individual during his speech, calling the demonstrator a “paid protester” and “scum”, while Youngstown’s mayor denounced the physical altercation as an act of “senseless” political violence. Public reports have not identified the man as publicly stating he is “proud” of the action in official statements, though footage captured him celebrating inside the venue immediately following the attack.
