Héctor Luis Valdés Cocho, a Cuban formerly known as an independent journalist and activist, now finds himself under the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Florida, potentially facing deportation. Valdés Cocho’s detention follows his arrest last November amidst several fraud allegations. He is currently held at the Broward Transitional Center, according to ICE’s locator website.
