For those complaining that FEMA only gave $750 to hurricane victims it should be noted that during President Trump’s tenure from fiscal years 2017 to 2020, the United States allocated the following amounts in foreign aid:

– 2017: $46.2 billion.
– 2018: $47.2 billion.
– 2019: $47.2 billion.
– 2020: $51.05 billion.

Those $750 payments to hurricane victims which were released immediately was just the initial phase of aid given by FEMA. Over $1 billion has already been paid to North Carolinians just through FEMA’s flood insurance program, and FEMA expects the total to be $3.5-$3.7 billion.
