President Joe Biden on Monday issued preemptive pardons to potential targets of the incoming Trump administration, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley and lawmakers who served on the House Jan. 6 Committee.

Trump in his 2024 campaign repeatedly vowed “retribution” on his political enemies, specifically singling out lawmakers like Liz Cheney who investigated the attack on the U.S. Capitol. Trump said Cheney and other committee members should be put in jail

President Biden issued preemptive pardons to…

– Liz Cheney
– Adam Kinzinger
– Adam Schiff
– Dr. Anthony Fauci
– General Mark Milley
– all the members of the January 6th Committee
– Capitol Police and Metropolitan Police Department officers who testified during the January 6th Committee

And why did President Biden do this?
Not because they committed any crimes, but because Trump

– called General Milley a traitor
– blamed Dr. Fauci for the Covid-19 pandemic (even though he’s the one that appointed Dr. Fauci as head of the Covid task force)
– said members of the January 6th committee should be jailed for investigating him

None of those that President Biden pardoned have been charged with crimes, but they were among Trump’s targets. All of these pardons were issued by President Biden because Trump promised revenge, not justice.

President Biden stated:

“The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense.”

Now, before the MAGA cultists flood us with their hypocrisy, lest we forget, Trump pardoned damned near all his criminal buddies.

– Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, was arrested and imprisoned, and later pardoned by Trump.
– Trump’s campaign manager, Steve Bannon, was arrested and imprisoned, later pardoned by Trump.
– Trump’s national security advisor, Michael Flynn, was arrested and pardoned by Trump before he could be imprisoned.
– Trump’s long time political advisor, Roger Stone, was arrested and pardoned by Trump mere days before he was to be imprisoned.
– Trump’s campaign foreign policy advisor, George Papadopoulos, was arrested and imprisoned, also pardoned by Trump
– Trump’s inaugural vice-chairman, Elliot Brody, was arrested and sentenced to prison, but was pardoned by Trump.

And that’s the mention of only a few…
