Governor Ron DeSantis, candidate for president in 2024 says if Trump loses Iowa, he’ll say it’s rigged. Says that when Trump loses, he always delegitimizes the election. He’s right and here are a few examples:
Trump loved the show Amazing Race and when it didn’t win an Emmy, he said the voting was rigged
In 2012 when The Apprentice didn’t win an Emmy, Trump said the Emmy voting was rigged against him.
When Obama beat Mitt Romney in 2012, Trump said it was rigged, calling it a “total sham”.
When Cruz beat Trump in Iowa and Colorado in 2016, Trump said they were both rigged and that Cruz had committed fraud and stolen them both:
“Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified!” Trump tweeted at the time.
He preemptively said the 2016 election would be rigged, but only if Hillary won. He won the electoral vote and he never mentioned the 2016 electoral vote being rigged again.
But he did lose 2016 popular vote to Hillary, so he said the popular vote was rigged, while the electoral vote was clean, and said there were 3-5 million fake votes cast on her behalf in the popular vote.
He said the 2020 election was rigged for Biden and called for terminating the U.S. Constitution to overturn the results of the election:
“A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”
He said the GA special election was rigged.
Mike Lindell, the “My Pillow” guy, even suggested that DeSantis’ gubernatorial win in 2022 by 20 points was ‘rigged‘ and that he would be investigating it.
