H/T Donald Trump Portfolio Tracker (@TrumpsPortfolio on X)
Donald Trump stood at a podium and called it a healthcare miracle. A discount drug website. A gift to the working man
The New York Times actually checked the prices.
Same drugs. Same doses. Cheaper in Canada. Cheaper in Germany. Cheaper in the UK. On TrumpRx, some of them cost TWICE as much
Twice. Not close. Not competitive. DOUBLE what people in other wealthy countries pay for the exact same pill.
This is the signature populist healthcare win Trump bragged about on stage like he’d cured cancer.
It’s a website with his name on it selling the illusion of relief to people who are actually sick, actually scared, actually rationing insulin and blood pressure meds to make it to the next paycheck.
A cancer patient checks the site hoping for a break. A diabetic checks the site hoping to afford next month. What they get is a marketing brochure wearing a lab coat.
Nobody at the top loses a dime here. No executive gets a pay cut. No pharma donor gets squeezed.
The only people who get squeezed are the ones who believed Donald Trump when he said help was coming.
This isn’t a glitch. This is the pattern. Slap his name on it, call it a win, let ordinary people find out the hard way that the label lied.
Trump didn’t lower your drug prices. He just found a new way to sell you the lie that he did.
