On February 16, 2026, a shooting occurred at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, during a high school hockey game, resulting in three deaths, including the suspect.
The shooter, judging from his X account, was a far right wing conspiracy theorist and white supremacist.
The suspect has been identified by authorities as 56-year-old Robert K. Dorgan (also referred to as Robert Dorgan-Esposito or using the name Roberta).
He also went by Roberta Dorgano on X — see screen shot below of him showing off his Nazi-icon rings.
Police confirmed the shooter was born male but was recorded as having self-reported undergoing gender-reassignment surgery in 2020, and had also used the name Roberta Esposito.
Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves stated the shooting appeared to be a “targeted event” stemming from a “family dispute”. Reports indicate the suspect was at the arena to watch their son play and opened fire on their own family, including their ex-wife and son.
Reports and images have circulated indicating the shooter had a Nazi SS tattoo. Reports mention the shooter had posted anti-semitic, and racist content online.
