Greene has announced she is resigning from congress as of January 2026 due in part to the pushback from MAGA in the form of threats on her and her family.
We give much credit to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) for pointing out the hypocrisies and crimes that other Republicans refuse to admit. MTG’s honesty about these very un-American, un-Republican situations is refreshing. We applaud her apologetic tone for having participated in the meanness and name calling that is the toxic environment and hallmark of this administration.
We do not support her theory that the 2020 election was stolen, nor that the Democrats are the ‘party of pedophiles’, especially since Republicans seem to be the ones who have been engaging in a massive coverup of the evidence in the Epstein case.
Trump was furious at her over her support of Epstein’s victims. He told her that it would ‘hurt a lot of people’ if evidence was exposed. You don’t say.
She rightly pointed out that his policies are NOT ‘America First’ as advertised.
Starting a war in Venezuela is not something that is America First. Nor is taking money from foreign entities (Qatar), big tech, crypto owners, big pharma, elite donors, or capitulating to foreign leaders such as Syria’s new president Ahmed al-Sharaa, the former leader of the rebel coalition (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham – HTS) and (former?) Al-Qaeda linked terrorist who once had a $10 million U.S. bounty on his head. She decried Trump’s meetings with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who many believe ordered the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, Saudi journalist and Washington Post contributor, or Zohran Mamdani, the new socialist Mayor of New York City.
She did not mention how Trump had threatened our allies with the takeover of Canada or Greenland, sided with Putin in his attack on Ukraine, or that he’s grifted and benefited by increasing his net worth by nearly $6B or more since entering his second term in office. None of these things say ‘America First’ to us, either.
Of course sucking up to dictators is nothing new for Trump who sees himself as part of their circle, and who acts as if he has absolute power over all branches of government. Recall his ‘bromance’ with Kim Jong un of North Korea, right after North Korea tortured and killed an American student who stole a poster off a wall. She also did not directly mention the number of sex and drug trafficking criminals, including Democrats, that Trump has been pardoning.
She candidly admitted that people are afraid to go up against Trump for fear of retribution, similar to what she is now experiencing with death threats of various types.
In sum, it is sad that what forced her out of congress was physical threats incited by the president himself.
Our position has always been that is it shocking and sad that Republicans would have allowed Trump to become president once again, knowing what he is capable of and how he lies about everything.
