Newly released transcripts from the U.S. House January 6 committee shed further light on Utah Sen. Mike Lee’s role in a plan to put forward fake electors in an attempt to overturn Joe Biden’s victory.
In an interview May 18, conservative lawyer Cleta Mitchell told the United States House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack that the alternate elector plot hatched in the aftermath of the 2020 election was “Mike Lee’s idea.”
